Let’s start off with proper fish and chips at the rustic and welcoming Hooked. They also offer a variety of baked fish, raw oysters, fried calamari, monkfish, chowder, and more. Local beer to wash it all down, and within walking distance to the water, you can’t beat it. PS - the shrimp mac & cheese will make you very happy indeed.



The Elephant & Castle comes highly recommended for it’s warmth and delicious burgers, steaks, and more. Located under The Dean Hotel, you’ll find some spectacular comfort food and cocktails.


If you are looking for American food in Ireland, look no further than Scotty’s Burgers & Wings. They have a lovely, albeit small, patio area as well. The burgers are made to order, and huge, so be patient. The chips are crispy and fresh, the wings are very well prepared and tasty. You really can’t go wrong with this hidden gem.
